  • About Jared

Hi All! My name is Jared and I am a lifestyle photographer in Houston. I shoot in all areas from Galveston to the Woodlands and from Katy to Cypress. I love photography. To capture beautiful images that make people laugh, smile, cry and lose their breath is what makes my job so fantastic.

I am married to my beautiful wife Erin and we have a little one named Pierce that is so much like us it is frightening. Included into the family is a black cat and a Belgian Malinios. Life can't get any better. I would love to hear from you so please contact me if you want to have a shoot customized just for you.

Scarlett’s 1st Birthday | Houston Party Photographer

I was recommended to shoot Scarlett’s birthday by a good friend from college, when her sister wanted a photographer to capture the party (thanks again Alex!). Scarlett’s mom saved the day by jumping in fully clothed, with no hesitation, to save her son from drowning on “Mother’s (day) Weekend”. What a super-mom! At that point it, with a bathing suit as spare clothes, it was all about the pool and staying cool from the warmth of the sun. Scarlett had such a great time, especially tearing into her “smash cake” and it didn’t take long to speed up the process and go face first into that sugary goodness. Happy Birthday Scarlett!

Austin’s is Two! | Cypress Lifestyle Party Photographer

Choo Choo Austin is two! Does anyone else think of the Simpson’s episode where Lisa receives a Valentine that says “I choo-choo choose you!” with a train on the front whenever you hear that sound? No? Well, it’s definitely a classic. Austin’s parents hired a trackless train to take the kids around the neighborhood multiple times. I quickly got my exercise jogging next to them to get the shots, but it was fun playing “Stop, Go” with the kiddos. I wish that I went to parties like this as a kid where the parents thought of every little detail. Great job Dana and thanks again!

Evan | Houston Senior Portrait Photographer (preview)

This was my first (and hopefully the start of many) senior portrait session and I had an absolute blast with Evan throughout the shoot. These are not your traditional senior portraits. I strive to capture the individuality of each senior while bringing out their personality and displaying what makes them who they are. My ultimate goal is to make not just mom and dad love the shots, but the senior as well.

Thanks again Evan!

Caroline’s Naming Ceremony | Houston Lifestyle Photographer

It was not too long ago that I shot Caroline’s newborn photos, and now, I just had the pleasure of capturing Caroline’s Naming Ceremony at (HCRJ) – Houston Congregation of Reformed Judaism. A naming ceremony is a way of bringing both blessings and good fortune to the new baby. Commonly, Jewish parents give their baby a secular name as well as a Hebrew name to express their child’s individuality and unique personality. It is this name that will be used at their Bar/Bat Mitzvah, religious rituals and ceremonies, and marriage. The Hebrew name has much significance and is often chosen carefully as a way of recognizing the past and honoring those important people in the child’s life.

Welcome to Caroline “Chaya Esther” McElroy’s Ceremony. Mazel Tov!

William’s 1st Birthday | {Let’s Party} Houston Lifestyle Photographer

Little Willie is now a 1 year old! I am joking when I say little, he wears 24 months size clothing! Just look at that big boy. The York’s live in New Braunfels, TX and not only did I get the privilege to shoot his birthday, but Erin, Pierce, & I got to spend time with close friends of the family. It was great to see you guys!

I LOVED the quinoa salad (see right). So tasty.
